Jumagund is situated near the Line of Control in Kupwara District of J&K. Being a remotely located village, the villagers of Jumagund are living in extremely harsh conditions and lack bare minimum medical support services.

A medical camp was recently organised at Jumagllnd under the aegis of 28 Infantry Division. The medical cover was provided by 4 doctors (including lady doctor) and 10 n~rsing assistants. Free medicines were distributed to the patients. Snacks and lunch were also provided to the villagers attending the medical camp. Free school uniforms and books to school children were distributed on the occasion.
