Air Force Martyrs Remembered

 

 

 

The next of kin of four Air Force martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation during the wars of 1965 and 1971 were honoured at an impressive ceremony held at Air Force Station, Barrackpore. These four martyrs hailed from West Bengal. Two minutes silence was observed to pay homage in the memory of late Flt Lt TK Chaudhari, Flying Officer Man Mohan Singh, Warrant Officer BN Majumdar and AC-2 DK Chakraborty.

Air Marshal KN Nair, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command presented a cheque for rupees one lakh, a scroll and a memento each to Mrs Maya Devi, wife of Warrant Officer BN Majumdar, Mrs Kiran Rekha Chakraborty, mother of AC-2 DK Chakraborty, Mr Barun Kumar, brother of Flt Lt TK Chaudhari and Mr Gurdayal Singh, brother of Flying Officer Man Mohan Singh.
