Installation of Steam Cooking System

A steam cooking system with a capacity of 80 ltrs has been installed at Adhoc Transit Camp, Sonarwain. The system was formally inaugurated by Brig SN Pavri.

Installation of the steam cooking system at the Adhoc Transit Camp would contribute towards improvement of the quality of life of a soldier, even while in transit, besides providing the following functional advantages:

(a) The system works on LPG, thereby providing hygienic conditions for the cook-house staff and hygienic food to troops.

(b) Considerable saving of time as food for 200 transients can be prepared in two hours.

(c) The food can be kept warm for a longer period.

(d) It is cost-effective vis a vis the traditional methods of preparation of food.
