Colour of Continuity

Col RN Dubey of Remount Veterinary Corps (RVC) has a number of professional acievements to his credit. Recently he has achieved another milestone. This time it was at the family front. Both of his children have become Army officers making the whole family Olive Green.

Col Dubey became a member of RVC on March 31, 1972 when he got commissioned into this corps. In March 2000, his daughter Ruchi joined Corps of Signals from Officers Training Academy, Chennai and in December last year his son Ravi Dubey became a Lieutenant. Lt Ravi got commissioned into 74 Armoured Regiment from the Indian Military Academy, Dehra Dun.

Trekking through Idukki

Officers and men of the Coast Guard ship Sangram conducted a jungle safari-cum-trekking expedition to the forests of Idukki as part of generating environmental awareness among the local public.

Five officers and 42 personnel participated in the trek carrying placards bearing ‘Save Environment’ messages. They trekked about 25 km through the dense forests of Idukki Dam Reservoir and interacted with the tribals living in the forests. They also apprised the local population of the contribution of Coast Guard towards checking environmental hazards along the Indian Coast.
