A team comprising eminent members of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence visited Air Force Station, Tezpur. On their arrival, members were received by Lt Gen JS Varma, GOC, 4 Corps and Air Cmde PK Borbora, AOC AF Station, Tezpur.

A presentation was carried out at the 11 Wing, AF Station to familiarise the visitors with the functioning and responsibilities of the station. The visitors were also given a demonstration on the aircraft maintenance carried out regularly. Later, they visited the units and squadrons and also witnessed a flying demonstration of fighter aircraft. A lunch was hosted at the Air Force Station in the honour of visitors.

The team was impressed by the high standards of the station and the high morale of its personnel. On behalf of the Parliamentarians, Mr Madan Lal Khurana thanked the officers and men of the station and wished them good luck in all their activities and missions.

The eminent members later visited HQ 4 Corps where they were received by Lt Gen JS Varma. The Parliamentary Standing Committee was briefed by the GOC about the United Command structure and functions.
