Passing-Out Parade at INS Rajali

An impressive parade was held to mark the completion of the 60th Helicopter Conversion Course at INS Rajali, Arakkonam. The parade was commanded by Capt Sanjeev Ghei. Three Naval trainee pilots and one Coast Guard pilot passed out of the Helicopter Training School after completing 24-week long flying training. The Flag Officer-Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, Vice Admiral Raman Puri reviewed the parade and awarded the 'wings' to the passing-out pilots. On the occasion, a formation of Chetak helicopters flew past the saluting dais drawing cheers from a large number of spectators.

The Governor of Kerala Trophy for the best all-round trainee pilot was awarded to 2 Lt SP Menon. The Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command Rolling Trophy for the trainee pilot standing first in order of merit in flying was also awarded to him. The prize for standing first in ground subjects was received by 2 Lt SK Gupta.

The pilots would now join the operational flights of the Indian Navy for various types of missions.
