Bheema
- 1000 Aircraft Weapon Loading Trolley
The
Indian Air Force (IAF) has been using imported aeroloaders and MJ-3
aircraft weapon loading trolley. To meet the requirement indigenously, Bheema
- 1000 has been designed and developed for carrying, positioning and
loading a variety of armament stores and external fuel tanks on various
classes of fighter aircraft. The trolley is self-propelled and uses a Maruti
800 engine as prime mover with three separate hydraulic pumps for
drive, actuation and steering. It is superior to imported MJ-3 used by IAF
in terms of lift height and table longitudinal/lateral movement. It uses
hydraulic drive that eliminates clutch and provides safe operation and
inching movement in the vicinity of aircraft. Extensive field trials have
been carried out on several fighter aircraft. Five trolleys supplied to
IAF are in use at operational bases.
