DGST Basketball Championship

The ASC Centre and College, Bangalore emerged as winners by defeating ASC Centre (North) at the finals of the 10th DGST Basketball Championship.

In a very close final match, the ASC Centre and College reigned supreme over the ASC Centre (North), Gaya with a comfortable score of 70-60. Sep Mathew Wargishe and Sep Santosh Kumar scored 24 and 20 points respectively paving way for the winners to lift the Championship Trophy. Sep Chandra Shekhar and Sep Sunil Kanta Singh were the highest scorers with individual scores of 20 and 16 points respectively.

Lt Gen I K Chhitwal, Director General Supplies and Transport and Senior Colonel Commandant was the chief guest. In his address, the Lieutenant General announced awards and incentives to the upcoming sportsmen of ASC. He gave away the DGST Championship Trophy to ASC Centre and College. This trophy has been initiated in the name of late Capt Amit Verma who made supreme sacrifice during operation Vijay.
