The
passing-out parade of 71 cadets of the Sainik School, Kazhakootam was held
at the school parade ground. Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern
Naval Command, Vice Admiral Harinder Singh was the chief guest on the
occasion and reviewed the parade. In his address to the cadets, Vice
Admiral Harinder Singh exhorted the cadets to volunteer for the defence
services and contribute the individual might for safeguarding their
motherland from the enemy. He said that it is heartening to note that
about 600 cadets who have passed out of this school are commissioned as
officers in various arms of the defence forces. The Vice Admiral
reminded the cadets that it is their sacred duty to be vigilant and
contribute their might, keeping in view the changes in the present
security scenario.
Cadet Captain Praveen commanded the
parade. Air Cmde R Khurana, Cdr Paul Abraham, Principal, Sainik School, Lt
Col JA Roeque, Headmaster and Cdr Anil Eappen attended the function,
besides parents of the cadets.
