Sanoa is one of the remote villages of Lower Assam having a population of approximately 2000 people. The villagers are totally dependent on ponds and hand-pumps for drinking water. The Army came forward to solve this problem. As a part of operation Samaritan, a project was undertaken by 14 Field Regiment of the Red Horns Artillery Brigade to install four electric water pumps with adequate storage and filter facilities.
