A polyclinic-cum-trauma centre was inaugurated by Gen NC Vij, Chief of the Army Staff, at a function held at Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt.

The eight-bed critical care and eight-bed intermediate care sections at the emergency accident trauma centre are equipped with the state-of-the-art monitoring equipment. The polyclinic functions round-the-clock and provides all specialist care under one roof.

In his brief address, Gen NC Vij complimented the staff of Base Hospital for providing modern services to serving and ex-servicemen and their dependents. He added that the new facilities would especially be a boon for the ex-servicemen. Among those present on the occasion were Lt Gen SS Mehta, GOC-in-C, Western Command and a large number of senior Army officers.
