Apprentice Training

The Red Horns Division organised a four-week long apprentice training for women from Nalbari and Kamrup districts of Assam at Rangia. The programme was inaugurated by Maj Gen Ganganjit Singh, General Officer Commanding, Red Horns Division. It aimed at providing training to the women in computer operations, PCO, tailoring, cooking and baking.

In his address, the Major General said that it is the women who hold the family together by nurturing family values. Women are the most important members of family and society and stressed that they must be given equal chance to learn different disciplines for the welfare and development of the society. He expressed the hope that the skills acquired by the participants from the training would certainly help them in their career.
