Southern Air Command's Integrated Sports Complex was inaugurated at Vayu Vihar, Pulayanarkotta by Air Marshal TM Asthana, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Air Command and Mrs Kiran Asthana, President, AFWWA (Regional). The magnificent integrated sports complex, built at a cost of Rs 67 lakh, comprises a football ground and basketball and volleyball courts. National and command level sports can be organised in this complex which is equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities.

Wg Cdr AS Yadav, Commanding Officer of Southern Air Command (Unit) spoke on the occasion. Air Vice Marshal RD Limaye, Air Cmde PK Kuruvila, Air Cmde R Khurana and other senior officers, men and their families attended the function.

An inaugural exhibition football match between the teams of Southern Air Command (Unit) and ‘Salim brothers’, Thiruvananthapuram was also held on the occasion. The match ended in a draw.

The function ended with prize distribution and presentation of appreciation cards to the outstanding sportsmen of SAC by the dignitaries.
